Fabiola Riccardini

Fabiola Riccardini

She is an economist specialized in International Economy and Quantitative Methods at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies of Geneve and in Business Management at ISDA (Istituto Superiore di Direzione Aziendale) of Rome. She is managing a research project on business and sustainable development at ISTAT inside the Statistical Department. She was formerly Co-Chair of the Inter-agency and Expert Group on the Sustainable Development Goal Indicators of United Nations. She has been member of the Task Force of the Sustainable Development Indicators of the Conference European Statisticians (UNECE-OECD-EUROSTAT) and member of the Working Group of Eurostat for Sustainable Development and e-Europe 2020 indicators. She is teaching “sustainability and well-being” at Universities and is author of many scientific articles and some books. She worked at OECD statistical directorate on well-being and sustainability measures. She represented Italy in many working groups of European Commission, OECD and United Nations. She was Co-Chair of the Information Economy Working Group at OECD. She was Head at ISTAT of the new survey on ICT of Enterprises and e-Commerce and Information Society statistics and she contributed to the first OECD Manual for Information Society Statistics. Previously was Responsible of statistics for Business and Household’ services Statistics. Early in 90’ she was Chair of the Evaluation Committee of European TES (Training for European Official Statisticians).

Roberto Thomas

Roberto Thomas

He was a juvenile magistrate at the Prosecutor's Office of the Juvenile Court, professor of juvenile criminology at the LUMSA University. Author of many articles and books on legal issues related to minors and juvenile criminology. He follows aid projects for people with family and social problems.

Emma Tarulli, Degree in Philosophy, studies and research in the historical humanities and Human Sciences area, former Head of the MIUR State School with service carried out at the Don Lorenzo Milani Experimental School in Genoa and Experimental Schools in Rome., Interested in Development Projects Territorial above all of the areas of Southern Italy and especially of the Basilicata region, of which it originates.


 Leonardo Salvemini,

Lawyer, licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and other higher courts.

He is the founder/owner of Salvemini Law Firm, based in Milan, Piazza L.V. Bertarelli n.1. 

As part of his professional activity, he has provided legal advice and assistance, to several Local Authorities, entities belonging to Public Administration, in-house companies, private clients, individuals and legal entities, concerning issues related to environmental subjects with particular regard to the topic of “waste” both from the point of view of their regulatory and management provisions and also in the criminal field, such as the unlawful disposal of waste.  Since 2002, he holds the position of Adjunct Professor before leading Italian universities (Università degli Studi di Milano, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Milano, Politecnico di Milano, Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, Università degli Studi di Napoli Parthenope) with regard to the following courses: Administrative Law, Environmental Law, Public Law. He attends, each year, as a speaker, several conferences, lectures and webinars on issues related to environmental law, criminal law, administrative and constitutional law, protection of cultural/artistic heritage and related legislation. Maria Rosaria Prisco, She is ISTAT researcher in the field of statistics and territorial analysis; PhD in geography; Expert in the subject of “Urban Geography” at the Faculty of Economics of the La Sapienza University of Rome; Past and present research interests: environmental justice, the role of culture in local development, new data sources (big data, volunteered geographic information), research and innovation policies.

Pasquale De Toro Architect and Ph.D. in ‘Evaluation methods for the integrated conservation of architectural, urban and environmental heritage’. Currently he is associate professor of Estimation and Evaluation at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’ and Director of the Interdepartmental Research Centre in Urban Planning ‘Alberto Calza Bini’. He is Associate Associate to CNR-IRISS (Institute for Research and Innovation and Services for Development).  He is involved in research activities in Decision Support Systems implementation in the architectural, urban and environmental fields, and in particular in the integration between economic and multi-criteria evaluation methods and tools. He also deals with the elaboration of integrated multi-dimensional evaluation approaches using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to support the decision at urban and territorial scale (urban metabolism, real estate market, interaction between city and port areas, ecosystem services, etc.). He has been member or principal investigator of research projects and scientific coordinator of research agreements at national and international level. Invited speaker at national and international conferences and lecturer at Italian and foreign Universities. He is author or co-author of more than 150 publications (in Italian or English) in scientific journals, books and meetings proceedings.  Member of the National Committee of ICOMOS Italy, member of the National Committee of Environmental Analysts Association (AAA) and member of the Campania Regional Committee of the Italian Institute for Planning (INU). Anna Luise, is Head of the Global Issues and Agenda 2030 Themes Unit at ISPRA. She is the Italy Scientific and Technical Correspondent of the United Nation Convention to Combat Desertification. She have participated as a speaker, panelist or chairperson in numerous national and international conferences and seminars, and have lectured in university masters and doctorates on desertification, climate change, sustainable development. She is the author and co-author of numerous texts on these topics.

Samuel Ashong, An independent researcher with interest in statistical methods, data science, and sustainable development. He has certifications in Statistics, and Economics and Data Analysis (European Master in Official Statistics). He has work experience as an environmental, health and safety officer at a cement production company in Ghana, and with the Well-being and Sustainable Unit at ISTAT, Italy. He is currently involved in research project on sustainable practices of businesses.

Daniela Barni is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Bergamo, Italy, where she teaches Family forensic psychology and Community psychology. She is a member of the Family Studies and Research University Centre at the Catholic University of Milan. Her main research interests are in family relationships, with particular attention to intergenerational relations and value transmission processes. She is also increasingly interested in several positive psychology constructs, such as sense of coherence, forgiveness, and kindness. She is the author or co-author of many national and international papers on these topics. She is also an Associate Editor of the Italian Journal of Social Psychology (Psicologia Sociale, ed. Carolina Facioni currently works at the Italian National Institute of Statistics. She is a Sociologist and a Ph.D in Methodology of Social Sciences. Elisabetta Porfiri

She graduated in Foreign Languages ​​and Literatures (University of Bologna, Urbino and Rutgers University USA), has been the editor of the monthly magazine of Unicef ​​Italia “Il mondodomani” for over 15 years. Since 2001 she has worked at Istat in the press office and in the Human Resources Department, dealing with communication and training. She is the author of many publications and articles on childhood problems in Italy and around the world and (with Gianfranco Dosi) of the book Vocabolario di famiglia. She has written literary reviews (Italian, Russian, English and American literature) for a few newspapers and magazines (il Mattino di Napoli, Wimbledon, Leggi) and edited (with Maria Sebregondi) a book about Nabokov.


Mauro Scarfone

He graduated in Political Science in Rome, studied economics and econometrics in Portici (NA) and at the State University of New Jersey (USA). He has worked in the Ministry of the Treasury technical secretariat, at Istat and, since 1986, at Eni SpA, where he has been involved in oil economics, financial control and financial risk assessment, with a brief interlude, from 1990 to 1991, as economic advisor to the Minister for Foreign Trade. Retired since 2011. He has written articles on financial risks and a short popularization book on the economic issues related to the 2008 2012 financial crisis.
